Unterrothorn is Zermatt's first-tracks product: helicopter flight to ~3,100 m and descent through the Sunnegga–Rothorn ski area without guide, on marked pistes. Ideal to maximize vertical at the resort, not off-piste heliski.

Unterrothorn vs classic heliski
No UIAGM guide or avalanche kit required: you ski groomed pistes after the morning flight. Limited capacity and advance booking in high season.
Unterrothorn (3,103 m) is Air Zermatt's first-tracks drop above the Sunnegga–Rothorn ski area. Not an off-piste glacier landing: the helicopter sets you down in Matterhorn ski paradise to start the day among the first on the slopes. Short flight (7–8 min) from the Zermatt helipad, no mountain guide. Lift pass separate.
